DataIcon1Weekly Meetings for 2010/2011 Scouting Year

Troop 3 will begin weekly meetings for the 2010/2011 Scout Year on September 14th. This is a Monday night. Remember that meetings start at 6:00 PM. Keep the excitement high as we continue our Scouting Adventures.

We are sponsoring our 2nd Annual Merit Badge College at New Bedford Voke. The event will take place on September 22nd AND October 13. Adults can now attend Adult Training for FREE. Adult training includes Scoutmaster's Specific and Youth Protection. Greater New Bedford Merit Badge College Packet


DataIcon1Jam @ the Fort -- Fall Camp-O-Ree

We look forward to participating the in the "Jam at the Fort" for the Cachalot Camp-O-Ree. This will be held at Fort Tabor in New Bedford. This will be a weekend event from October 1st to October 3rd.

Troop 3 will be sponsoring a Troop Level Junior Leader Training at Camp Edwards. This is for all Scouts who hold an office. Attendance is required.

Breaking News from Narragansett Council....

Nick C. and Deven M. Complete White Stag Training.

Congratulations to Nick C and Devin M are our most recent graduates of the White Stag Youth Development Training. They join the ranks of Alex M and Andrew S in completing this course. White Stag is the National Youth Leadership Training provided by Narragansett Council. The training will help our Scouts continue to provide excellent Youth Leadership in a Scout run program.

There are many District and Council events. These include Camp-O-Rees, training events and shows. Check the troop calendar to see which events the Troop will participate. You can also see the Council calendar for other events & meetings.


DataIcon1Youth Protection Training

Youth protection training is required by all adult leaders. This training can be done on-line at the BSA Online Learning Center. There is also other training that you can take free of charge. Why not be involved as a trained leader? Help our boys and the program by getting trained today.
